Job summary

Magnolia Manor is seeking a Laundry Aide to assist with laundering and distribution of linen and patients' clothing in a healthcare setting. Responsibilities include loading machines, sorting by fabric, folding, ironing, and delivering items to patient closets while maintaining sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a long-term care or healthcare laundry department is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
• Team leadership and role-model capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Loads machines to proper weight/level and uses detergents/chemicals as directed.
• Sorts laundry by color, fabric, type, etc. for washing.
• Transfers laundered items to dryers in sanitized containers.
• Folds and stacks dried items in proper order.
• Irons items that require ironing and mends items as needed.
• Distributes personal laundry to patients' closets.
• Cleans and disinfects laundry areas and equipment.
• Ensures sanitation and quality standards are met.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards in the laundry area.
• Performs other essential functions as assigned.
