Job summary

Oakwood-Manor is seeking a Laundry Aide to assist in delivering laundry services in a healthcare environment. Responsibilities include washing, drying, folding, ironing, mending, and distributing linen and patients' clothing, while maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare laundry department preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Commitment to sanitation, safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Load machines to proper weight and cycle settings with correct detergents.
• Sort laundry by color, fabric, and type for washing.
• Transfer laundered items to dryers in sanitized containers.
• Fold and stack items; iron when required.
• Mend items and distribute to patients' closets.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas and equipment; follow safety rules.
