Job summary

Chelsea Jewish Lifecare’s Brudnick Center for Living in Peabody, MA is hiring a full-time Laundry Assistant. The role supports resident care by sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering clean laundry each day, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

You will maintain a safe, organized laundry area, follow infection-control procedures, and work with the care team to ensure timely availability of linens and clothing for residents. 18+, English fluency required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in housekeeping/laundry in healthcare or senior living setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver clean laundry according to facility procedures.
• Collect soiled linens, towels, and resident clothing from designated areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laundry area and operate equipment properly.
• Follow infection-control, safety, and confidentiality procedures when handling laundry.
