Job summary

Pavilion of South Shore is seeking a Laundry Aide to join their team. The role involves sorting linens, loading washers, drying items, folding or hanging cleaned laundry, and occasionally delivering laundry to residents’ rooms.

The position operates within a unionized facility and includes duties across inventory and equipment maintenance. Required is a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred experience in an institutional setting performing housekeeping services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in an institutional setting performing housekeeping services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sorts all linens and treats stains.
• Loads all laundry into washer and adds specified cleaning agents.
• Takes wet, clean items and dries as directed.
• Sorts and folds or hangs clean dried items.
• May deliver laundry to various locations, including residents’ rooms.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and communicates needs to manager.
• Maintains laundry equipment and informs facility’s manager as to any maintenance needs.
• All other duties, as assigned
