Job summary

Responsibilities

• Tends laundering machines to clean sheets, blankets, and patient items.
• Loads articles in washer with detergent and starts cycles.
• Sorts and folds dry articles by identification numbers or type.
• Delivers patient laundry to designated areas.
• Ensures clothes are ready to wear and stored properly.
• Operates washers, dryers, and wringers according to schedules.
• Keeps laundry area clean and organized and reports repairs.
• Handles stains and uses appropriate chemicals per MSDS.
• Maintains linen carts and ensures proper disposal.
• Follows safety protocols and sanitation standards.
