Job summary

Citrus Health and Rehabilitation Center in Inverness, FL is seeking a Laundry Aide to maintain an adequate supply of clean linens, towels, and clothing for residents in a skilled nursing facility.

You will sort, wash, dry, fold, label, and distribute laundry while following infection prevention practices and facility policies. The role supports a clean, sanitary, and homelike environment for residents.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment or willingness to be trained.
• Ability to read and follow labels, safety instructions, and facility procedures.
• Must communicate effectively with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Collect soiled linens and resident clothing from designated areas.
• Sort laundry according to procedures and separate soiled items.
• Operate washers, dryers, and laundry equipment safely.
• Wash, dry, fold, hang, and organize linens and clothing.
• Label and return resident clothing to correct residents.
• Distribute clean laundry to units and storage areas.
• Maintain linen supplies and report shortages or damages.
• Follow infection prevention and safety procedures.
