The role requires experience in quantity food preparation in a residential or healthcare setting, with the ability to supervise kitchen staff and adhere to sanitation and safety policies. You will collaborate with dietary managers and supervisors to ensure high-quality meals.

• Prompt and regular attendance.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, season, and cook meat, fish, vegetables, soups, desserts and modified diet foods according to recipes.
• Prepare food in sufficient quantities to cover service requirements.
• Time preparation to meet service schedules.
• Estimate food requirements and utilize leftovers.
• Present food in an attractive and palatable manner.
• Handle, store, and refrigerate food properly.
• Standardize recipes and determine portions.
• Submit requisitions for daily food and supplies.
• Supervise kitchen workers regarding food preparation and cleaning.
• Maintain clean work areas and equipment.
• Communicate with managers and dietitians about kitchen operations.
• Follow all dietary department policies and safety guidelines.
