Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Cook Supervisor - Hourly for Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. The role is full-time, 1:00 pm–9:00 pm, 5 days/week with rotating weekends. Prior commercial kitchen experience is required; ServSafe preferred.

Fixed pay rate: $20.00/hour. Direct supervision of food-service associates, adherence to recipes and safety standards, and ongoing interaction with guests and team members.

Qualifications

• Prior commercial kitchen experience is required.
• ServSafe certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise food-service associates per policies and laws.
• Train staff, plan work, evaluate performance, and handle discipline.
• Advise management on purchasing to minimize waste and avoid shortages.
• Ensure quality, temperatures and portion control using recipes.
• Operate and clean equipment per dept. procedures.
• Store, label and rotate food to minimize spoilage.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for safety and quality.
• Assist with serving meals and gather customer feedback.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
