Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a Kitchen Sanitation Associate to uphold sanitation in the food court and main kitchen. Under supervision, you will maintain cleanliness of dish machines, carts, and service areas and assist with waste removal, linen handling, and composting.

You will read temperatures daily, follow health codes, and participate in shifts that include every other weekend and holidays. This role requires clear communication and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months of similar food service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes counters, trays, wells, appliances and equipment per schedule.
• Reads and records temperatures of food and equipment daily.
• Maintains sanitation levels per department policies and health codes.
• May train lower level employees.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers, patients, customers, families and hospital staff.
• Washes dishes, silverware, trays and serving equipment.
