UnityPoint Health is seeking a Cook to prepare entrees, vegetables, soups, cereals, sauces, and other items served from the production area. The role emphasizes proper handling, sanitation, and timely service to deliver attractive, nutritious meals to patients and staff.

Responsibilities include following recipes, monitoring temperatures, training teammates, and minimizing waste while maintaining safety standards.

Formación

• High School Education or Equivalent required.
• At least one year of cooking or food service experience.
• Food Handler Certification and SERVSAFE required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and produce hot food items, supporting ordering, portioning, and assembly to ensure timely service.
• Handle, store, and maintain food safely and cost-effectively in compliance with all safety and sanitation standards.
• Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures, maintaining equipment cleanliness and proper operation.
• Follow recipes and procedures to ensure high-quality, safe, and appealing meals.
• Train team members, maintain cleaning logs, manage food inventory, and help reduce waste.
• Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and service excellence in alignment with UnityPoint Health values.
