Job summary

Forefront Healthcare is seeking a part-time cook to support our healthcare dining services in Pittsburgh. The role focuses on preparing meals per recipes, ensuring safety and quality, and assisting with daily kitchen operations.

You will work under the Chef Manager and Director, following policies to deliver timely, appetizing meals while maintaining strict sanitation and health standards in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Prepare meals according to recipes, portioning, and standards.
• Monitor and maintain food temperatures to meet safety guidelines.
• Assist in daily production tasks and ordering as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow standardized recipes and presentation standards.
• Complete production worksheets and waste logs daily.
• Taste meals to ensure quality and adjust as needed.
• Monitor temperatures during service and maintain safety targets.
• Assist in storage and inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Report equipment issues and supply needs to Chef Manager or Director.
• Attend required department meetings and trainings.
