Job summary

Forefront is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare meals in a healthcare setting, following current standards and ensuring patient safety. You will assist with resident, family, and employee meals, and support the Chef Manager and Director as needed.

The role requires reading and following recipes, maintaining sanitation, monitoring temperatures, and maintaining logs. ServSafe is preferred, and healthcare dietary experience is valued. On-site position with flexible shifts and a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• High school graduate or equivalent education is preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year food service experience in a health care dietary setting is desired.
• Minimum of two (2) years working in food and beverage operation preferred.
• ServSafe preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food following standardized recipes, portions, menu extensions and presentation standards.
• Monitor temperature of hot and cold foods to meet established goals.
• Assist in storage of supplies and food products and notify management of needs.
• Report equipment breakdowns and unsafe conditions to Chef Manager/Director.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
