West Village Post Acute in Greenville, SC is seeking a dedicated Chef to join our long-term care kitchen. Prepare and serve meals that meet resident dietary needs, while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

You will collaborate with the Dietary Manager and Dietitian, lead the kitchen team, and contribute to menu planning and special events. Culinary school preferred; ServSafe certification a plus; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Culinary school education preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or high-volume kitchens.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (ServSafe certification a plus).
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with strong communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and dietary restrictions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals per menus and resident dietary needs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Coordinate with Dietary Manager and Dietitian for therapeutic and texture-modified diets.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency in the kitchen.
• Demonstrate excellent time management during meal prep and service.
• Lead and collaborate with dietary team to promote a positive, team-oriented work environment.
