Job summary

The Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment (CADT) in Duluth, MN is seeking a reliable janitorial teammate to keep our buildings clean, safe, and welcoming for patients and staff. You will work with a multidisciplinary team and participate in emergency drills.

This role requires 18+ years, knowledge of cleaning methods, and CPR/First Aid certification before direct patient contact. We offer competitive pay around $16.75 per hour plus benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Knowledge of standard janitorial methods, practices, tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules, and proper chemical handling.
• Ability to follow instructions, read and understand printed instructions.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• CPR and First Aid certification required before direct patient contact.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior rooms and exterior areas (restrooms, walkways, parking, entrances, bedrooms, dining rooms, lobbies).
• Clean kitchen, refrigerator and food preparation area.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, shampoo floors and maintain surfaces with appropriate care.
• Gather and dispose of rubbish and waste materials.
• Dust blinds, furniture, cabinets, window sills, vents; polish furniture and metalwork.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, mirrors and fixtures.
• Make rounds to observe premises and report safety issues to maintenance.
• Follow universal precautions and PPE when cleaning patient care areas.
• Interact professionally with staff, patients and visitors.
• Participate in emergency situations and drills as a team member.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
