Job summary

Pioneers Medical Center in Colorado is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide Tier 1 helpdesk support for end users, including healthcare applications such as MEDITECH Expanse and Athenahealth. You will diagnose and resolve desktop, software, and basic network issues while assisting with AD and Microsoft 365 tasks and documenting troubleshooting steps.

The role requires 1–3 years of IT support experience, an associate degree (or equivalent), and a patient-centered approach in a healthcare

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
• One to three years IT support or helpdesk experience preferred; healthcare IT experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, hardware, printers, TCP/IP, wireless, and remote support tools.
• Experience supporting MEDITECH Expanse and/or Athenahealth preferred.
• Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft fundamentals/endpoint preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 technical support to end users via phone, email, remote tools, or in-person.
• Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, hardware, software, printing, and basic network issues.
• Install, configure, deploy, replace, and maintain computers, monitors, printers, and approved software.
• Assist with user accounts, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, MFA, and shared resources.
• Provide first-level support for healthcare applications (MEDITECH Expanse, Athenahealth).
• Support VMware Horizon/VDI endpoint connectivity and troubleshoot access.
• Troubleshoot basic wired/wireless networking; escalate complex issues to Tier 2 or vendors.
• Document troubleshooting steps and ticket resolutions; follow cybersecurity policies.
• Assist with inventory, asset tracking, and workstation replacement projects.
• Participate in after-hours maintenance or emergency support when required.
