Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation and governance of IT architecture across applications, data and technology. You will work with project teams and Enterprise Architects to ensure seamless hand-off and alignment with business goals.

The role requires deep technical expertise, strong communication, and the ability to mentor peers while balancing competing demands.

Qualifications

• Seven years IT experience including five years in a senior engineer/analyst/consultant role
• Bachelor’s degree; or four additional years of experience in lieu of degree
• Experience with IT architecture and enterprise collaboration preferred

Responsibilities

• Serves as advisor to teammates and IT leadership on information integration strategies, including the resolution of system issues.
• Communicates the architecture to the stakeholders and collaborates and coordinates with enterprise architects in the formalization and adoption of IT standards and procedures.
• Makes recommendations to IT leadership and influences changes to architectural standards as needed.
• Serves as a role model and mentors peers as needed. Recommends opportunities for improvement of department score for turnover/retention/employee engagement.
