Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Field Services Analyst to provide front-line IT support for hardware and software across the hospital and affiliated sites. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining a robust client computing environment and delivering high-quality service to clinicians and staff.

The position requires excellent communication, problem solving, and the ability to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1-3 years of IT support experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable and standards-based solutions to user problems per service level agreements.
• Monitor work queue and address incidents to meet defined service levels.
• Maintain documentation for all devices per policies and standards.
• Produce, review, and update knowledge articles for the team.
• Document each customer interaction and resolution steps clearly.
• Communicate status of open tickets to affected users.
• Install, upgrade, and configure network printing, directory structures, rights, and security.
• Troubleshoot software/hardware to diagnose problems.
• Make field visits to resolve issues timely.
• Escalate issues to on-call resources per procedures.
• Share knowledge with Tier 1 colleagues and participate in training.
• Participate in team projects and evaluate new technology developments.
