Elevance Health seeks an Internal IT Audit Intern for a 12-week summer program in Tampa, FL. The role supports IT and operational audits, focusing on IT general controls and emerging technology risks, with collaboration across IT leaders in a major healthcare company.

The internship runs May 17, 2027 to August 6, 2027, requiring 40 hours per week in a hybrid in-office/remote setting. Strong analytical and communication skills, and IT coursework are preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BA/BS degree program in Management of Information Systems or related majors with IT concentrations.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship (5/17/27-8/6/27) at Tampa, FL.
• Candidates graduating Dec 2027 or May 2028 with a 3.2 GPA or higher are preferred, but all graduation dates are equally considered.

Responsibilities

• Support the Internal Audit team that reports to Elevance Health's Board of Directors.
• Assist IT and operational audits focusing on IT general controls and emerging tech risks.
• Develop documentation of technical processes using narratives and visuals.
• Interact with IT professionals across domains to develop, monitor, and track material requests and audit support.
• Summarize audit results for key stakeholders and suggest process improvements.
