Job summary

Abbott Construction LLC. is seeking an experienced estimator to lead healthcare project estimates from start to finish. You will develop scopes, budgets, and bid strategies while coordinating with project managers and subcontractors.

The role requires 3+ years of estimating experience, familiarity with hospital systems, and proficiency in tools such as WinEst, Assemble, and On-Screen Takeoff. A four-year degree is preferred and a strong team player is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience; healthcare projects preferred.
• Proven experience running estimates from start to completion for healthcare projects ranging from $1M to $20M.
• Experience in inpatient healthcare or occupied renovations.
• Strong understanding of hospital and clinical building systems and requirements.
• Knowledge of Assemble, Revit, WinEst, Beck Destini, AutoCAD, and On-Screen Takeoff.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in managing the bidding process including document control, solicitation of subcontractor bids, and plan center interface.
• Develop scopes and budgets with clear information for customer review.
• Participate in nomination and election of subcontractors for design-build budgets.
• Update subcontractor database and cost information resources.
• Perform cost comparison and analysis as requested.
• Monitor and update cost information in the database and cost resources.
• Provide quantity takeoffs of changes between permit and construction sets.
• Work with Project Managers to support estimating on projects.
• Manage multiple estimates in a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in site visits and pre-bid walks as needed.
