Abbott Construction in Seattle, WA seeks an estimator to join our team and manage healthcare project estimates from concept to bid. You will collaborate on the bidding process, prepare scopes and budgets, and support Project Managers to win work.

Responsibilities include subcontractor bid solicitation, cost analysis, and maintaining estimating databases and software. A four-year degree and hands-on experience with hospital projects are preferred, with a comprehensive benefits package available.

Qualifications

• Must pass a drug test.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Proven experience running estimates for healthcare projects ($1M–$20M).
• Experience in inpatient healthcare or occupied renovations.
• Strong understanding of hospital and clinical building systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of Assemble, Revit, WinEst, Beck Destini, AutoCAD, and On-Screen Takeoff.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other relevant field.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate in managing the bidding process including document control, solicitation of subcontractor bids, and plan center interface.
• Develop scopes and budgets for Project Managers with clear information for customer review.
• Participate in the nomination and election of subcontractors for budget estimates.
• Update subcontractor database when necessary.
• Perform cost comparison and analysis as requested.
• Update cost information in the database and procure cost information resources.
• Monitor and update computer-aided estimating software systems.
• Provide quantity takeoffs of changes between permit and construction sets.
• Work in a team environment to provide estimating assistance for customers.
• Support Project Managers to succeed in estimating across projects.
• Manage multiple estimates simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in site visits and pre-bid walks as needed.
