Job summary

NBBJ Charlotte is seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to work on healthcare interiors project work from concept through construction administration. The role offers growth within a collaborative, global design firm and exposure to diverse facilities and planning opportunities.

The candidate should have 5–10 years of interiors experience, a Bachelor's or Master’s degree, LEED accreditation (or within 18 months), and strong skills in Revit, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and Enscape.

Qualifications

• : 5–10 years of professional interiors experience.
• Healthcare project experience across small and large scale projects.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design.
• LEED accreditation or within 18 months of hire.
• Proficient in Revit with 3D modeling; Rhino familiarity is a plus.
• Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong communication and collaboration in a team setting.
• Willingness to travel if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in executing healthcare projects from design through construction administration.
• Work with clients to identify objectives and formulate options.
• Interpret and formulate design concepts with project team, developing design, documentation, scheduling, budgeting.
• Prepare contract and permitting documents with quality, code compliance.
• Lead project engineers to ensure integrated approach and coordinate requirements.
• Maintain records documenting project phases.
• Collaborate with architects, interior designers, lighting designers, and other disciplines.
• Mentor and guide other team members.
• May participate in marketing efforts, including presentations.
