L.O. Eye Care is seeking an Insurance Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team in Michigan. You will ensure accurate claims processing, enter billing charges, post payments, and follow up with payers and patients to resolve issues.

You will mentor peers, lead small projects, and collaborate with providers to deescalate patient concerns while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with medical billing experience.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology.
• Experience with CPT and ICD coding is a plus.
• Working familiarity with NextGen or similar practice management systems.

Responsabilités

• Enters billing charges via the practice management system and corrects/refills denied claims.
• Posts patient and insurance payments manually and electronically.
• Follows up with payers on rejections, denials, inquiries, and status.
• Responsible for aged accounts receivable for assigned payers.
• Participates in daily phone queue rotation with strong customer service.
• Works with management to deescalate patient complaints.
• Attends meetings and training; complies with policies.
