Solera at West Houston seeks a Housekeeping Director to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable facility environment, including patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas. The role combines leadership with hands-on supervision to uphold high cleanliness standards across the facility.

The position requires supervising the housekeeping team, coordinating tasks, and maintaining compliance with health and safety procedures in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Prior experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Minimum of one-year in a supervisory role.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and supervise housekeeping activities at the Facility.
• Establish a work log or checklist for daily/weekly/monthly tasks.
• Perform direct housekeeping tasks as a working Director.
• Maintain inventories of supplies and equipment within budget.
• Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and company standards.
• Identify and correct potential safety hazards.
• Recruit, select, and train housekeeping aides.
• Schedule departmental hours, personnel, and assignments.
• Conduct annual or probationary evaluations and enforce discipline when needed.
