Job summary

Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to oversee custodial services for a 750k+ square foot health care facility. You will supervise staff, schedule cleaning services, ensure compliance with JCAHO/DOH/OSHA, conduct unit audits, and coordinate with event support.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, inventory control, and implementing sustainability directives while maintaining patient and visitor cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 4+ years of healthcare custodial management experience.
• In lieu of degree, 4+ years management experience in healthcare custodial services.
• Knowledge of operational software and quality programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift staffing and ensure work is completed efficiently.
• Plan and schedule staff assignments and cleaning services.
• Perform audits and take corrective action on deficiencies.
• Oversee inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Train staff on sustainability directives and safety protocols.
