The role emphasizes strong leadership, adherence to infection control protocols, budget-conscious supply management, and coordinating linen and laundry services to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or laundry services, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong supervisory or leadership experience.
• Clear communication, both verbal and written.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
• Understands infection control and sanitation protocols in long-term care or healthcare environments.
• Demonstrates genuine care and compassion for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team: hire, train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping and laundry staff.
• Schedule efficiently: create department schedules aligned with census and labor budgets.
• Manage inventory: order and manage supply levels with budget controls.
• Ensure cleanliness: oversee mopping, dusting, vacuuming, polishing, and disinfecting.
• Inspect and monitor: conduct routine inspections for sanitation and infection control compliance.
• Train staff: provide instruction on safe and effective cleaning and laundry procedures.
• Support daily operations: ensure consistent linen delivery, personal laundry service, and organized supply rooms.
