Job summary

NHC HealthCare Oakwood is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. The role requires standing 7–8 hours daily, lifting heavy objects, and handling standard cleaning chemicals; you will work with patients, families, staff and visitors in a patient care setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to be on feet 7–8 hours a day
• Able to lift heavy objects
• Able to work with standard cleaning chemicals
• Must be able to deal tactfully with patients, families, staff and visitors

Responsibilities

• Clean patient bathrooms including sinks, toilets, tubs and showers
• Empty garbage cans in patient rooms, bathrooms, activity areas and other areas
• Clean patient rooms including mopping/buffing floors and dusting furniture
• Clean hallways, sweeping, mopping, stripping and buffing per center policies
