Job summary

Housekeeper- Healthcare (Third Shift) in Northeast Atlanta is seeking candidates to perform daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, wards, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, and other assigned areas.

The role requires attention to detail, safety with chemicals, and the ability to pass background checks and drug tests. Day-to-day duties include cleaning, restocking supplies, and supporting admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of housekeeping experience
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred but not required
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling, labeling and disposal
• Know proper methods for cleaning spills and chemical exposures
• Able to pass a background check and drug test

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent service in interactions with customers including coworkers, patients, visitors, physicians, and volunteers
• Performs cleaning in assigned areas following schedules and methods
• Dusts horizontal surfaces
• Empties wastepaper baskets and cleans trash containers
• Spot cleans walls and windows
• Replenishes room supplies
• Cleans and polishes fixtures in bathrooms
• Dries and wets mops floors and spot cleans carpets
• Makes beds and handles linens
• Performs checkout cleaning
• Follows chemical handling procedures
• Supports quality improvements in services
• Communicates barriers to leadership during admissions/discharges/transfers
