Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Health care support services and/or environmental services, hospitality or related field preferred.
• Ability to read/write English at 6th - 9th grade level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily assigned area of duty, including cleaning of patient rooms or areas, and other common areas.
• Performs duties following healthcare cleaning and disinfection principles, proper chemical use, equipment handling, and PPE.
• Adheres to safety, infection control guidelines, and supports in quality initiatives.
• Maintains cleaning carts, supplies and equipment in neat order.
• Handles waste and follows proper waste streams (regulated medical, recycle, solid, hazardous).
• Follows infection prevention practices and HIPAA requirements.
