Job summary

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors; may spray buff, strip or wax floors per center procedures.
• Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable.
• Empties trash cans, cleans exterior and interior areas, replaces liners.
• Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets per procedures.
• Cleans glass surfaces including mirrors, pictures, and windows.
• Cleans behind and underneath furnishings.
• Follows infection control standards during cleaning.
• Removes wax/dirt buildup in corners, baseboards, and doorways.
• Changes and re-hangs curtains and draperies for outside windows as needed.
• Dusts and damp cleans surfaces in patient/resident rooms.
• Moves furniture to access behind/underneath.
