Job summary

PACS, a healthcare services organization, is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment in our facility. You will clean public areas, resident rooms, and restrooms, ensuring sanitation and order throughout shifts, while following safety protocols.

The role emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and positive customer service. Prior healthcare housekeeping experience is a plus, and strong attention to detail is essential for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare or long-term care housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and understand procedure and instruction manuals.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, fountains, and floors.
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized.
• Wipe down handrails to keep them dust-free.
• Remove dirt and debris from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, and dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols and store chemicals securely.
• Operate cleaning equipment and supplies per manufacturer instructions.
• Keep housekeeping carts and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Report safety concerns to Director of Housekeeping or Nursing leadership.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet facility standards.
