PACS is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, staff, and visitors in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include cleaning public areas, resident rooms, and bathrooms; sanitizing surfaces; proper disposal; and safe operation of cleaning equipment. The role emphasizes teamwork, strong attention to detail, and excellent service orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals and directions.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Wipe down handrails to keep them dust-free.
• Remove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols and store chemicals securely.
• Operate cleaning equipment according to manufacturer instructions.
• Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean and sanitary.
• Report resident safety concerns to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet facility standards.
