The role supports patient care by cleaning and sanitizing areas to meet infection control standards.

The EVS/Housekeeping position reports to the Director of Plant Operations and involves daily cleaning, supplies replenishment, and maintaining confidentiality of information.

Qualifications

• Experience with material management/exchange cart systems.
• Ability to understand inventory documentation.
• Able to work in a fast paced, high stress environment.
• Demonstrates clear and simple communication without losing core message.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, common areas, and public spaces
• Vacuum, dust, sweep, mop, and remove trash throughout the facility
• Clean surfaces using approved disinfectants and cleaning procedures
• Replenish supplies such as paper products, soap, and linens
• Ensure housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies are stored safely
• Report safety concerns or maintenance issues that could impact patients, visitors, or staff
• Help maintain infection prevention and safety standards
• Respond appropriately during facility emergencies
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to support departmental needs
• Provide courteous and professional interactions with patients, visitors, and coworkers
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information
