Job summary

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English to ensure safety and wellbeing of patients and visitors.
• Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, supplies, equipment and materials.
• Ability to work independently, problem solve and make decisions as necessary.
• Ability to interact positively with personnel, customers, families, visitors and the public.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the provision of a clean and safe environment for customers, visitors and staff.
• Orders supplies necessary to perform housekeeping and laundry functions.
• Inspects the facility regularly to determine effectiveness of housekeeping and keeps building odor-free and clean.
• Takes immediate action on observed deficiencies and maintains records.
• Completes time cards and prepares departmental payroll according to facility cycles.
• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning).
• Ensures equipment is maintained in proper working condition.
• Complies with facility policies and government regulations.
• Assists in performing housekeeping duties as needed.
• Performs other duties as requested.
