Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design and deliver mission-critical healthcare applications. You will own frontend and backend components, align with product, design, QA, security, and platform teams, and push for pragmatic, value-driven solutions in a regulated environment.

You should bring 10+ years in full stack, strong experience with modern JS frameworks, backend services, databases, cloud, containers, IaC, and AI-assisted coding tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in full stack development across frontend and backend.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong experience with modern JS frameworks and TypeScript.
• Proficient with backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Strong SQL/NoSQL and data integration skills.
• Experience building cloud-native apps on Azure preferred.
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, ARM, or Bicep.
• CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control experience.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools in professional settings.
• Healthcare domain knowledge and regulatory exposure is a plus.
