Qualifications

• Four-year undergraduate degree or higher in criminal justice, finance, project management, or related field.
• Minimum three years of professional work experience in healthcare, fraud, or related investigative field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to analyze data to support government civil HCF matters (Medicare/Medicaid).
• Excellent communication with diverse stakeholders; professional demeanor.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain background investigation.
• Willingness to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review, sort, and analyze data using software such as Microsoft Excel.
• Review financial records and regulatory documents; summarize contents and conduct research.
• Develop HCF referrals meeting agency and USAO standards for litigation.
• Analyze data for evidence of fraud, waste and abuse.
• Evaluate referrals to determine additional information needs and plan how to obtain it.
• Advise attorneys on merits and defenses and recommend court action when appropriate.
• Assist USAO by maintaining client agency relationships and supporting training.
• Assist conducting witness interviews and prepare written summaries.
