Qualifications

  • Able to read and understand construction drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead onsite low voltage installation crews across nurse call, fire life safety, and security scopes.
  • Review plans and direct the crew to build to them.
  • Keep projects on schedule and within safety standards.
  • Support system commissioning and troubleshooting to a fully working system.
  • Run inspections, walkthroughs, and project closeout.
  • Serve as primary onsite contact for customers and stakeholders.
  • Mentor technicians to improve skill and speed.
  • Track progress and flag risks and resource needs early.
  • Coordinate materials and manpower to avoid downtime on site.
  • Enforce safety and code compliance in occupied spaces.

Job description

We are hiring a Healthcare Foreman to lead field installation crews on active healthcare projects in and around Rancho Cucamonga, California. This is a hands-on leadership role running the install of nurse call, fire life safety, and security systems inside working hospitals and medical facilities. The right person has years in low voltage, knows how to keep a crew productive in occupied patient areas, and can own a project from plan review through closeout. Nights, weekends, and out-of-area travel come with the work. If you have led healthcare low voltage installs and want to run your own crews as a foreman, this is the position for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead onsite low voltage installation crews and coordinate daily activities across nurse call, fire life safety, and security scopes
  • Review project plans, drawings, and specifications and direct the crew to build to them
  • Keep projects on schedule, on budget, and within quality and safety standards
  • Support system commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting through to a fully working system
  • Run inspections, customer walkthroughs, and project closeout
  • Serve as the primary onsite contact for customers, general contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Mentor and train technicians and helpers to build crew skill and speed
  • Track project progress and flag risks, change orders, and resource needs early
  • Coordinate material, tools, and manpower to avoid downtime on site
  • Enforce site safety, PPE, and code compliance in occupied healthcare spaces
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years in construction or low voltage installation
  • 5+ years installing low voltage in healthcare environments
  • 4+ years in a leadership or foreman role
  • Advanced knowledge of low voltage and fire life safety equipment, install methods, and code
  • Manufacturer certification on fire life safety systems used in hospitals
  • Able to read and understand construction documents and project specifications
  • Able to troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to find and correct faults
  • Proof of immunizations and TB testing for hospital site access
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and travel out of area as needed
  • Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
  • Valid California driver license, clean driving record, and proof of current auto insurance
  • Physically able to drive 2+ hours per shift, work at heights above 6 feet, lift 50+ pounds, and work in confined spaces
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • Electrical trade school training
  • Additional manufacturer certifications on nurse call or security platforms
  • Prior experience running multiple healthcare projects at once
