Job summary

PACS is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain clean and safe floors across the Dublin Post Acute facility. You will sweep, mop, strip, wax, buff, and operate floor-care equipment in resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, and common spaces.

The role requires adherence to infection control procedures, safety guidelines, and professional interaction with residents and staff. A high school diploma or equivalent and prior floor-care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in floor care, housekeeping, environmental services, or a similar position is preferred.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate floor-care equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Ability to interact professionally with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain floors throughout resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, common areas, offices, and other designated areas.
• Sweep, dust mop, vacuum, mop, scrub, strip, wax, buff, and polish floors as needed.
• Operate floor-care equipment such as floor buffers, automatic scrubbers, vacuums, carpet extractors, and other cleaning equipment.
• Maintain carpets through vacuuming, spot cleaning, and deep-cleaning procedures as assigned.
• Follow procedures for the safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Read and follow chemical labels and safety procedures.
• Place wet-floor or caution signs when cleaning or treating floors.
• Report damaged flooring or safety hazards promptly.
• Follow infection control procedures at all times.
• Assist with general housekeeping duties when needed.
