Job summary

Margate Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a Floor Technician/Housekeeping Aide to join our team of caregivers. Provide a superior level of cleaning quality in assigned areas to maintain a clean working environment.

Report to the Environmental Services Director for scheduling and perform daily cleaning, floor care, and safety procedures. This role requires lifting heavy loads, weekend work, and adherence to chemical and PPE guidelines while maintaining facilities for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Frequent lifting of 25–100 lb is required.
• Healthcare cleaning experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality cleaning in assigned areas.
• Report to Environmental Services Director for scheduling.
• Perform daily cleaning, buffing, and bonneting; document work.
• Carry out floor stripping and extraction projects.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed (heavy loads).
• Handle cleaning carts and linen carts on tile and carpet floors.
• Follow chemical labeling guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Label products per facility guidelines.
• Clean lobbies, patient rooms, restrooms, offices, halls, and common areas.
