Margate Health & Rehabilitation in Jefferson North, NC is seeking a full-time Floor Technician to join our housekeeping team. The Floor Tech works with Housekeeping and Laundry to maintain a clean environment for residents and visitors.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, assisting with room moves and discharge cleaning, and cross-training as needed. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience preferred in similar role.
• Customer service oriented with ability to communicate at all levels.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and be flexible.

Responsibilities

• Taking out the trash.
• Sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing various floor surfaces.
• Stripping and waxing qualifying floor surfaces.
• Cross-training in Housekeeping and Laundry as needed.
• Assist with room moves of residents.
• Assist with discharge cleaning of residents' rooms and moving items.
• Other duties as directed by Environmental Services Director.
• Minimal maintenance in emergencies.

The Floor Tech works with the Housekeeping and Laundry team to provide a clean environment for all customers residing in and visiting our facility.

Responsibilities

• Taking out the trash
• Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing various floor surfaces
• Stripping and waxing qualifying floor surfaces
• Cross‑training in Housekeeping and Laundry should the need to float arise
• Assist with room moves of residents
• Assist with discharge cleaning of residents' rooms, which would include boxing of items and moving furniture
• Other duties as assigned by the Environmental Services Director
• Minimal maintenance responsibilities in case of an emergency or need arises

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience (preferred)
• Customer service oriented, ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, strong problem‑solving skills, flexible and dependable
