Job summary

Berlin Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is hiring a Floor Technician for a part-time role. Work two days per week, 11 AM-7 PM, with no weekends. The position supports a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in a 128-bed Sub-Acute and Long-Term Care facility.

Responsibilities include floor care, carpet cleaning, waste handling, and adherence to safety and infection control standards. The role offers growth within a compassionate team committed to resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience as Floor Technician or similar role preferred.
• Familiar with floor care equipment, chemicals and techniques.
• Ability to follow safety procedures in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning and spray buffing.
• Operate industrial floor care equipment safely and effectively.
• Clean carpeted/upholstered surfaces using appropriate methods.
• Maintain floors to ensure a clean, safe, and polished appearance.
• Follow safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
• Dispose of waste according to facility and regulatory standards.
• Report maintenance or safety hazards to supervision.
• Support housekeeping and environmental services as needed.
