Job summary

Ridgeview Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing seeks a Floor Tech to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and restrooms, plus following infection control procedures and safety regulations.

The role requires ability to read and follow written instructions, work independently or in a team, and uphold resident privacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare facility preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be dependable, courteous, and resident-focused.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, dining areas, and common areas daily.
• Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and polish floors and furniture.
• Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, showers, tubs, and other restroom fixtures.
• Scrubbing floors and shampooing.
• Empty trash containers and dispose of waste properly.
• Replenish paper products, soap, and other housekeeping supplies.
• Clean windows, mirrors, walls, doors, and other surfaces as assigned.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety regulations.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
• Assist with room preparation for new admissions and resident transfers.
• Respond promptly to spills and emergency cleaning situations.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Participate in facility training programs and staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Administrator.
