Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden seeks a Floor Technician to maintain floors across offices, patient rooms, corridors and public areas, using buffers, extractors, and other equipment. 1–2 years of floor care experience preferred; must have a High School diploma or GED.

You will perform routine cleaning, waste handling, and reporting to supervisors while minimizing disruption to clinical areas.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in floor care preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate floor care equipment.
• Effective communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Sign in and out for pager/phone.
• Follow Personal Protective Equipment procedures.
• Transport waste from dirty core.
• Cycle cleaning ceilings and walls.
• Measure and mix cleaning chemicals.
• Assist in cleaning emergency spills.
• Report customer suggestions/complaints to supervisor.
• Clean and sanitize assigned work area.
• Attend mandatory hospital and department meetings.
• Follow hospital policies and procedures.
• May be assigned to other duties as needed.
