Job summary

Ochsner Health in Lafayette, LA seeks an Environmental Services team member to perform cleaning duties across patient, clinical, public and administrative areas. You will operate cleaning equipment, maintain floors, and keep ES spaces organized while following safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Environmental Service equipment (scrubber, burnisher, carpet extractor).
• Basic knowledge of VCT and carpet floor care and cleaning supplies.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for instructions.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.
• Ability to listen, follow directions and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains VCT floors and carpet floors per Environmental Services standards.
• Maintains ES closets and equipment in a clean, aseptic and orderly manner.
• Exhibits good judgment and decision making.
• Assists with cleaning projects and works as part of a team.
• Is responsible for attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
• Performs other related duties as required.
