Qualifications

• 2 years of experience using chemicals and equipment for stripping, refinishing, maintaining floors, and shampooing carpets.
• Experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and understand a material safety data sheet (MSDS).
• Knowledge of proper methods for cleaning chemical spills and reacting to exposure.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care in assigned areas following schedules and methods.
• Strips and waxes floors.
• Maintains floors by spray buffing, burnishing, or shower-scrubbing and top-coating.
• Shampoos carpet and removes small spots and stains.
• Follows safety procedures with barriers and signage in work areas.
• Complies with chemical handling, labeling, and disposal procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment and reports repair needs.
• Maintains cleanliness of areas including trash removal and room setup.
