Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is assisting a healthcare client in Northeast Atlanta to hire Floor Techs for first shift.

The role involves floor cleaning, stripping and waxing, spray buffing, carpet shampooing, and assisting with patient area cleanliness. Shifts run 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; this is a temp-to-hire position with pay at $19 per hour. Healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience using floor chemicals and equipment for stripping, refinishing, maintaining floors, and shampooing carpets.
• Hospital setting experience preferred but not required.
• Reads a material safety data sheet (MSDS).
• Knows how to clean chemical spills and exposure procedures.
• Can pass a background check and drug test.

Floor Tech- Healthcare (First Shift)
Temp to Hire Position: $19/hr.
First shift: 7am to 3:30pm
Our client in Northeast Atlanta is seeking Floor Techs to perform major floor cleaning and refinishing functions in accordance with the standards set by the department. Experience working in the healthcare industry, i.e. clinics, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods.
• Strips and waxes floors.
• Maintains floors by spray buffing, burnishing, or shower-scrubbing and top-coating.
• Shampoos carpet and removes smaller spots and stains.
• Follows departmental safety procedures in sectioning of work area with the proper barriers and signage.
• Complies with procedures for handling, mixing, use of labeling, and disposal of all chemicals used in performing job functions.
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment and reports the need for repair.
• Maintains cleanliness of areas, including removal of trash and linen bags, meeting room set-up, and delivering beds to patient units.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in the proper use of chemicals and equipment in stripping, refinishing, and maintaining floors and shampooing carpets
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred but not required
• Knows how to read a material safety data sheet
• Knows correct methods of cleaning up chemical spills and the procedure for reacting to chemical exposure
• Able to pass a background check and drug test.
