Description

As a Healthcare Financial/Actuarial Analyst, you will support various projects related to the design, funding, measurement, and financial analysis of employer health and welfare benefit programs including medical, dental, life, disability, and voluntary benefits. You will collaborate with client teams, contribute to analyses and deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met. This role offers opportunities to develop your expertise in health and benefits, financial analysis, project management, and communication by working on innovative projects with industry leaders.

The Role
  • Support multiple client teams in developing financial analyses, outputs, and deliverables with guidance.
  • Develop proficiency in financial, actuarial, and analytics theories, models, and tools.
  • Assist in accurate claim reporting and financial modeling to inform client decisions.
  • Gain knowledge of various benefit programs such as health care, pharmacy, wellbeing, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.
  • Support financial modeling of benefit plan designs, cost strategies, and budget projections under supervision.
  • Execute specific tasks contributing to client deliverables within deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Global Delivery Centers and Client Service teams for effective project management.
  • Build strong internal relationships and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of professional experience, preferably in benefit consulting, brokerage, health underwriting, or actuarial functions.
  • Basic understanding of health and welfare products and services.
  • Strong data management, analytical, and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to identify data inconsistencies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent client service orientation.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and in teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • State Life and Health license required within 90 days.
  • Relevant financial experience or a university degree.
  • Progress towards health actuarial or CEBS designation (optional).

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $60,000 to $75,000 USD annually, with eligibility for an annual bonus. WTW offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, welfare, retirement, and flexible working arrangements.
