Birmingham Gastroenterology Associates (BGA) is seeking an experienced Controller/CFO to lead accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning for a growing physician-owned platform in Birmingham, AL.

The role includes partnering with the CEO, physician leadership, and Board to drive financial visibility, governance, and growth. Depending on experience, responsibilities may expand toward full CFO oversight, including strategic initiatives and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years accounting/financial leadership in healthcare.
• Healthcare experience with physician practices preferred.
• CPA designation preferred; MBA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations, GAAP reporting, audits, and tax filings.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Present financial results to CEO, physician leadership, and Board.
• Support growth through new programs, partnerships, and opportunities.
