Job summary

Birmingham Gastroenterology Associates (BGA) is seeking an experienced financial leader to guide its accounting, reporting, budgeting, and planning. This role can evolve from Controller into CFO within 12 months, or serve as CFO immediately for broader strategic leadership.

The candidate will partner with the CEO, physician leadership, and the Board, strengthening controls and financial visibility as BGA grows its clinical and ancillary operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of accounting/financial leadership in healthcare.
• CPA designation preferred, MBA or similar credentials a plus.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations, GL, close processes, and external audits.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to CEO, board, and partners.
• Develop financial models for growth opportunities and partnerships.
• Ensure internal controls and regulatory compliance.
