Job summary

Hueman Professional Recruitment is assisting a Richardson, TX-based healthcare services organization in finding a hands-on Controller/Director of Finance to lead accounting operations and financial planning. The role requires a proactive leader who will build scalable financial processes and partner with executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience leading month-end and year-end close processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP/accounting systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll oversight, and fixed assets.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes; develop KPIs for leadership.
• Establish and maintain internal controls; coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Manage tax compliance and relationships with outside accounting firms.
• Oversee cash flow, treasury management, banking relationships, and liquidity planning.
• Evaluate and improve accounting systems and workflows; identify automation opportunities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team; collaborate with operations and executive leadership.
