Job summary

New Horizon Family Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Controller to lead the Accounting Department, overseeing payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting. The role emphasizes month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and internal control improvements.

You will coordinate budgeting, audit processes, and grant reports, including UDS and Medicare/Medicaid cost submissions, ensuring adherence to GAAP and healthcare accounting standards. Greenville, SC-based, full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration required; 5+ years accounting experience, or MBA with 3 years in accounting.
• Three to five years of accounting experience; GAAP knowledge essential; supervision of accounting staff preferred.
• Knowledge of ambulatory care operations and healthcare accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all aspects of the Accounting Department, including payroll and tax compliance.
• Prepare month-end closing, journal entries, and reconciliations to support financial statements.
• Oversee accounts payable, budgeting, and annual audits; assist CFO with grant reporting.
• Support preparation of UDS, Medicare/Medicaid cost reports, and other required submissions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
